The first group presenting as you walked into the classroom you were handed out a little pamphlet showing little descriptions of different books. They then started their presentations but each person in the group was describing a different story. All of these stories all had something to do with grace, which was very interesting. To end their presentation one of their group members sang Amazing Grace. Then they showed a little video that was very touching. The second group to present did their presentation over fantasy. They had a PowerPoint, which described fantasy, and then they had a little video of fantasy pictures included in it. Next one of the group members read us the book that they had done their project over. Then they handed us out the project. I really enjoy the genre presentations because this is giving us ideas to use in our classrooms.

11/19 Presentations
Today's group did an awesome job. I really enjoyed the video that they made. That was a really creative idea. I think if you did that in an actual classroom the students would love doing that. I know my group has been kind of nervous about doing the presentations. Now that another group has gone we are confident about it. Then the group presented a book that they had a recording of the book going along with it. This was a great idea kids will love it. Lastly they handed out some pictures of Chang and Tikki Tikki Tembo for us to color and put a popsicle on. This is going along with their video because they had their character on sticks.

Nonfiction
I didn't realize how many books that I have read that are nonfiction. Nonfiction books contain factual information and have lots of photographs which go with the story. The Magic School Bus series is by far my favorite of them all. As a child in school we would read the books and then watch the movies to go along with it. I remeber always looking forward to watching the movies. I did some research on childrens books that are nonfiction and there are alot of them I was surprised.

Fiction
Reading really isn't my favorite thing to do unless the book is really good. If the book is boring well I'm not gonna finish it. My friend has been telling me to read the Twilight series so I should be starting that this week. As a kid one of my favorite books to read was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I used to read this book and then watch the movie right after I would finish it. Ronald Dahl is one of my favorite authors.
Another book that I would read frequently was The Adventures of Captain Underpants Series. I always found these books very funny and entertaining.
Lastly I fell in Love with the Lemony Snickett Series of Unfortunate Events. This book series is one that I couldn't put down. I read all of them.
Hopefully after I finish the Twilight Series I will watch the movie because my friend says you have to read the books to understand the movie.
